Prayers:
My prayer is that those who are dear to me - my friends, my family, extended family, and those I have yet to meet - will know the unfailing love of Jesus Christ. I pray that they will know the all consuming power of the Holy Spirit because there is none like it. I don't feel worthy of this love, and there is nothing I can do to ever deserve it, but I gladly accept this gift. I pray that I will not be consumed with myself, but consumed by Jesus. In His Name I am redeemed and restored, and I want nothing more than to serve Him. I pray that God will bring me into a powerful ministry, one that I can share with my future husband and family. I pray that I will be able to love those around me as Christ loves them - pouring out everything I have. More than that, I pray that God will enable me to love those who don't necessarily like me. I want to love those who may be seen as the least of us. I want to serve you God - my life is worth nothing to me. I am consumed by you.

Counting my blessings:
I am blessed with an incredible family, and I am so very thankful to be surrounded by their unconditional love and support. We are far from perfect, but we love each other. I am thankful that I am able to go on this trip to Haiti, so that I will be changed from the inside out. I know we are serving the kids, but I'm thankful that I am able to take this trip, to give me more perspective and open my eyes.

Lessons in faith:
Comparison is the thief of joy, so we have to stop comparing our lives to others. Keep your focus on God and God alone. We were all made for a specific purpose.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
(Matthew 6:33).
